Private patients

At Coffs Coast Hand Therapy we are happy to take referrals from general practitioners and specialists. Although, you do not require a referral to come and see the physiotherapist.

Private patients who are covered under their health fund for physiotherapy or Occupational therapy may receive a rebate for their consultation cost (dependant on level of coverage).

Insurance and third party claims

Patients covered by Work Cover, Compulsory Third Party(CTP) and Department of Veterans Affairs(DVA) patients are also welcome.
If you are one of the patients covered under any of these schemes you will require a referral from a doctor or specialist prior to attending your appointment.

Chronic Disease Management Scheme (Formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care-EPC)
Please see you GP in regards to this scheme as some patients will be eligible for a medicare rebate which can assist in covering some of the cost of your consultation in up to 5 visits.

What to bring to your first appointment;

• Doctors referral (if you have one)
• Any XRAYS, scans or operation reports pertaining to your problem
• Insurance details or claim numbers if you are covered under Work Cover or CTP schemes
